Making Room For More

Dear Christ Church People,

Last year our Faith Full Giving campaign asked, “Where do we go from here?” You answered clearly: Lots of new people have joined Christ Church and we’re serving more of our neighbors in need. Christ Church is growing, and we are making room for more.

Making Room for More is our Faith Full Giving theme for 2027. We’re creating space and capacity, while opening our hearts and hands to what the Holy Spirit is doing at Christ Church. As we’ve had more visitors, more interest in connection, more needs in our community, we’ve already seen “making room” start to happen:

- New roof, carpet, windows to keep this place beautiful, safe, and welcoming
- New small groups
- A refreshed and improved website
- Growing programs for children and youth, and an expanded and remodeled youth room
- Extending our Warming Shelter season from four to five months
- Welcoming a new Director of Music, Kevin Devine
- An additional shower and laundry services to meet the needs of our unhoused neighbors
- Inviting new visitors to become members, with nearly 150 new folks joining Christ Church since 2024

Making room for more requires resources. It means brewing more coffee at coffee hour, printing more bulletins, purchasing more Sunday School supplies, and keeping up with more wear and tear on our spaces for worship and gathering. Our ability to come together on Sundays, welcome newcomers, nurture our children, and serve our neighbors means being able to pay for salaries and benefits, utilities, insurance, maintenance, office supplies, musical instruments, and more. All of what we do at Christ Church takes money, time, and talent.

As costs increase and as we grow as a community, covering our expenses depends on the generosity of all of us. Making room for more is an invitation to ask yourself, “What can I give?” trusting that what you offer, God will multiply. Jesus takes a few loaves and fishes, and somehow makes more than enough for everyone.

We invite you to pledge your support for Christ Church in 2027 by filling out the electronic form linked here.

It’s clear the Holy Spirit is at work here at Christ Church. Let’s make room for more— more people, more belonging, more worship, more service, more faith, and more of the abundant life God calls us to experience together. Join us.

Blessings,

Matt Ganser & Christina James, 2027 Faith Full Giving Co-Chairs
